EDS seeks constructive engagement with all sectors to achieve good environmental and economic outcomes for all New Zealanders. EDS also plays an education role, helping community groups and iwi to understand resource management practice better. EDS runs national and regional conferences and seminars on topical issues. The organisation also publishes a wide range of environmental guides, policy papers and books. EDS is a registered charity and donations to it are tax-deductible.
