General information

Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists was established over 25 years ago by Miles Udy, and was formally known as Miles Udy Motors. As well as doing general mechanical repairs Miles Udy Motors also specialised in Gearbox Repairs. With a very reputable name this business thrived. In early 2008 the business undertook a name change, and Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists was born.

Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists is now owned and operated by one of its existing staff, David Jensen, and his partner Charlyene. This has allowed them to keep the trusted service of quality gearbox, diff and transfer rebuilds and repairs, all of which are done on site and to the highest of standards.

David is a trade cert qualified automotive technician also with the internationally recognised Diploma in City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Systems, and has experience with maintaining and modifying all vehicles, including european and classic cars to his own custom drift built S13 Nissan Silvia.

Wellington Automotive Gearbox Specialists can now offer many more services, from servicing and Warrant of fitness inspections to all performance work and complex modifications, on a whole range of vehicles.
