General information

Acts Institute of New Zealand was founded by Ken and Wendy Fraser in 1983 as a response to unemployment in the Wellington region and their desire to see people have a sense of unconditional acceptance and self worth with the skills and tools to find employment.

Acts formation came from Ken being confronted with sudden unemployment himself and now over 25 years later, Acts is still working with people to invest principles and skills in to their lives to help them towards employment.

Over that time our society has changed and the nature of the courses and services Acts offer has developed to meet those demands. Acts has remained consistent in the principles of the programmes it delivers and committed to the people who participate.

The team at Acts continues to be the practical outworking of our vision and through their professionalism and skills we continue to deliver a strong message combined with practical skills that allows us to achieve what we do best, helping people to help themselves and feel able to positively impact their own future.
