The Start of Our Vision - this is a high level start to developing the Trustees Vision

The vision for the school centres on celebration of success and development of a safe child focussed environment through the development of community links and the integration of technology to be an enabler for learning.
• Environmental / Sustainability – Long term focus: energy saving measures (e.g solar, rainwater collection, edible gardens, LED lighting, natural lighting, learning glass wall, living wall, sustainable building products, covered walkways/sunshade -play areas, manual window controls.)
• Community / Collaboration / accessibility: central focal point, just like home, biking walking linkages, welcoming space/area at front- café area for parents.
• Learning focused: shared teaching space, learning spaces for children individually, perform, quiet spaces, larger learning spaces.
• Flexibility on learning/admin spaces: thinking future; accommodating multiple range of combinations of learners, purposeful learning spaces. Accessible storage. Learning that is visible (glass panels into learning spaces). Visible and accessible principal office. Sliding doors/removable walls/ moveable furniture.
• Success / celebration: displays, grouping space to celebrate in total, performance space. Sport success.
• Cultural inclusion (incl Special Ed - inclusive): design to reflect treaty of Waitangi, celebration of cultural diversity in design; frosted windows, gardens, Wharenui-meeting place
• Future focused: Un-limiting and adaptable ICT, Library, resourcing, building provision, future roll growth. Equipping kids for the future to be part of and the be able to contribute to future. Information hub, learning centre
