We commenced trading back in 1981. And from humble beginnings with Andy Womersley (our Managing Director) who’s talent in engineering quickly became sought after.

Over the years we’ve accumulated more than 125 years worth of combined knowledge, skill and expertise in engineering and the procurement of materials, parts and general hardware supplies most closely aligned to the rural scene.

We take pride in our long-standing customer relationships formed over the years and in our ability to meet our customers’ demands at the individual level.

As our firm has grown, we’ve continuously expanded our range of general hardware and agri-machinery parts and to compliment this we made the call to promote our expanding hardware store with it’s own name… 'High Street Hardware- Just the trick!’. This means ‘Womersley’s- Engineered for you’ our dedicated engineering division, can focus more on ‘engineering’ while our hardware division can focus on delivering to you… ‘just the trick!’.
