General information

Emerald City is a small landscape design company based in Wellington, New Zealand.

With a focus on residential design, my goal is to help create a garden that works for you – one that suits your lifestyle, brings enjoyment and is a pleasure to spend time in.

I encourage diversity in the garden and believe the combination of exotic and native plants can be very successful. However, I am committed to creating environmentally responsible spaces that are sympathetic to the surrounding area, free of invasive species and encourage native flora and fauna.

With the current and forecast changes in climate and the recent summer droughts experienced across much of New Zealand, I have a particular interest in creating low-irrigation or drought-tolerant gardens. I support organic and pesticide-free gardening and believe that, given the right guidance, nature has all the solutions we need for a successful garden.
