FeedaDream

General information

FEEDaDREAM is a not for profit organization established by a group of young professionals recently graduated from University of Otago, New Zealand. The idea formed when they discovered a mutual passion for equality and eradication of poverty in Sri Lanka, their country of birth. Eradication of poverty is a difficult task and one that has continuous efforts put in by many charitable organisations. Sadly there are still a significant number of children deprived of a proper education in Sri Lanka despite it being offered as a free service nationwide. According to WHO statistics, the main barriers have been identified as poverty and disability. The founders of FEEDaDREAM believe that a proper education is a basic human right and is a key determinant of socioeconomic status. Hence FEEDaDREAM is dedicated towards breaking the vicious cycle of desperate poverty that currently exist by uplifting the education of the under privileged, disadvantaged and mistreated children of Sri Lanka.
