General information

NATIONAL began its history as The Camera Exchange, opening for business in 1927. Located in downtown Albany, The Camera Exchange provided photo and camera supplies to the public. After a name change to State Photo and a move uptown, the company began to grow, supplying a wider range of products. This prompted yet another name change to NATIONAL Graphic Supply.

In 1975, NATIONAL Graphic Supply began selling photocopiers under a new division that would be come to known as NATIONAL Business Equipment and Supply. In 2000, NATIONAL partnered with Kyocera to bring customers the highest quality products and most efficient document solutions.

In recent years, continued growth Led NATIONAL to expand its market outside of the New York State Capital Region. In addition to our corporate headquarters in Albany, technology centers were opened in Glens Falls, Kingston, Plattsburgh, and Burlington VT.

Acknowledging that technology continues to change a rapid rate, NATIONAL added another division to assist customers even further. NATIONAL IT Services was created to offer backup and recovery systems as well as 24/7/365 customer support.

In 2017, NATIONAL celebrates its 90th year with operations expanding to include products and services than ever before. It is for that reason a final change in name was settled on: NATIONAL Business Technologies.

Through the years of selling photocopiers, we have seen many changes and advancements in office technology. One thing that has not changed, however is the world-class service that customers can expect from NATIONAL. From the moment the doors opened in 1927, the customer has always been our highest priority.
